The Extension Kit helps to align the lamphead (depending on the width of the stem) centrally on the handlebar.The bolt moves the lamp further inwards.Example:The quickrelease mount is attached directly next to the stem, which is 40mm wide and the lamp is perfectly centered.With a 50mm wide stem, the 5mm Extension Kit is necessary for a central alignment.
